I was walking home, it's around midnight and it's totally dark of course, there are only few street lights in the road I was walking and no pavement. Suddenly car comes by at a very high speed and it's swerving on the road like crazy, and then starts to honk at me, I see it's heading right at me so I literally jump of the side of the road and almost fell into a ditch, and it comes roaring past at probably 90 km per hour... thats way over the speed limit, he didn't stop or anything just drove on.
I'm really wondering if the guy was drunk... or just trying to kill me... ? But I actually didn't feel the shock of it until I got home... I suddenly started shaking and just feel terrible.
Cool! Just like superhero in a movie! On more serious note tought, I am glad that you are OK!

Hmmm, y'know I hear that the spirit of Ingolfr Arnason sometimes appears at night in the form of an unholy automobile and tries to take the souls of the living back to Valhalla with him... you never know man... this could have been one o' those 'true ghost stories'.

.......sorry, jesus that was bad....

Glad to hear you're OK man. It was probably some idiot drunk. If it were up to me, drunk driving would be punished much harsher than it is nowadays.

Hope you've calmed down a little - if not Uncle Vask will be there for you to hug!

Ah Stormy, I was just carrying on with the joke from the "I got to thinking" thread. It's really not even a good joke, I was just making a meal of it.

well it was not so bad... I'm impressed you know that name, the town I live in is very close to a mountain were he, Ingolfur (Ingolfr is the old viking dialect) lived for a short time, after settling Iceland. The mountain is in fact named after him.

Anyway, I feel better now, the shock is over... but I noticed this morning a big bruise on my calf and a scraped knee that I'm pretty sure is from the "jump"... I didn't notice at all yesterday...
