Call me "kid" if you like, it makes me feel a few decades less old. Or, you can call me what I am -- a muppet.

I'm not quite sure how to react to being called 'kid'...down here everyone is called 'dude'

So me, er, I like punk (and not pop punk mind you. real stuff), rock metal, and if i'm in the mood, trance is good. My dress style is kind of my own...my pants tend to be only Dickies brand and I like to wear guy style shorts with cute girly tops, mostly dark shades, if not black all together

But like our Cloudlady said, just regular 'lurking' is a good way to see how the individuals work on this forum. Might I suggest Cloudy's Cafe

Hmm very interesting indeed...dudes

I know i am quite capable of changing the topic, i just wished to keep it going...oh well

I must ask does 'kid' really offend "the older men"? It doesnt bother my dad, but then again he knows me and as my subordinate, he'll go under any label i call him! ...Varten... Joking!

Yeah your all right, its stupid of me to ask such closed questions, i shall have to watch myself in the future.

I'll drop the whole idea and "lurk" the posts as it was suggested.

Over and out...

I wear what I want to, I listen to the music I want to and you can't honestly label me with any designation outside of my gender and religion. I defy designations such as punker, goth, or anything like that. To most of my close friends I'm more the big teddy bear type, though.

Oh yeah, I'm the infamous FS that Stormy was refering to. My problem with foot in mouth stems primarily from the fact that it is all too easy for me to forget that there are people on the other sides of the names here. I think I've been better about that as of late. Then again that's when my mightier than thou attitude can strike viciously without warning. I'm gonna have to double check my posts for attitude from time to time.

Refering to people as "kids" in a friendly way, is acceptable slang speaking around my parts. Before I moved to Boston, I had a friend from Rhode Island who called everyone kid. Doesn't bother me in the slightest!

So wassup up, kid!

Welcome to Ironworks

I am a teacher, brother, friend, fiance, son, cousin, etc. I listen to all types of music, although I detest Linkin Park. I think labels are immature. I like sleeping in.

Sorry Kids!
It's easy to be smug on the internet, eh. No threat of bodily harm or anything for being a smartass. Offline there's always the risk of getting a fresh one across the face. Isn't that right, mate!

I personally don't care what you call people as long as it isn't derogatory - you can call them kids, babes, sweethearts, peeps, whatever amuses you - but try not to be a smartass. That's what gets people irritated, not what you call them.

You probably just rubbed people the wrong way with your patronising, condescending, "speak to the peasants" attitude in your first few posts. No different from many other people who got off on the wrong foot. Shit happens when you join up and all that. Keep being a smartass and you won't last long...but there's no need for that. You seem like a nice bloke - your opening gambit was possibly misunderstood. Aussies have an odd sense of humour at times. Go on, kiddo! Prove us wrong.

Welcome to Ironworks, by the way.
