Lucky You!! We had a thunderstorm Friday night, which was ok because it washed away the rest of the snow. And what do I find when I get up today?? You guessed it - SNOW!

Glad for you, Moni ! Have yourself a wonderful day.
But, unfortunately, I cannot agree, it is really "april weather" here today and in Germany we use that term to describe spring weather that, well, let's just say, it feels and looks as if it had been bought from Charlie's shop. ------------------ So long ! Hope you have a good day Moni. Now that it is afternoon, it has warmed up here nicely (round 70)! I'm waiting for company to arrive (they should have been here an hour ago). If they don't show up soon they'll be here all night!!

bliqis2 and Ramon....Man, so sorry about your all's weather!
I went out in shorts and a tank top, cleaned up more rubbish from one of the front flower beds, straightened up the logs that border it and planted some annuals (a mixture). Lots of work but well worth it...that only leaves me with one larger flower bed to clean up and a portion of the back yard to free of dead vines. Will wait until after Easter for the vine project so that I can cut the living stuff back without fear it will die on me. Here's to more great weather and happiness for everyone! Moni - shorts and a tank top? Sheesh you guys get all the good weather!
I hope those vines are tame ones. We had vines at our old house that were evil. EVIL I SAY!!! This time of year all of them had massive thorns, all spaced closely togehter, so no grabbing the vine without punctures! Definitely needed thick gloves! And they were soooo long, I swear some of them were 15 feet long and you'd try to toss them aside once you uprooted them, and they would bend and get stuck on your shirt or in your hair. When I was finally done I would walk inside the house and notice the million scrapes and scratches all over me that I never felt while in battle (and yes, I consider that type of work battle!) In the end I won the battle, but not the war, as other types of vines would always come later on in the year. Neverending!! Anyway, good luck with that friend, may the force be with you, etc. etc. ------------------ |
