F***ing scary movie. Watch it, it rules, it really, really, really does.
It was a good movie Kurt Russel and John Carpenter did a couple of good movies for their times I love Carpenters sound tracks..they are always ....unique err Im assuming you mean the Carpenter remake of the original....the original was pretty cheesey.
Have to agree with the opinions on this one... And it just came out on DVD as a director's cut...

Was thinking about this over night. My list is as follows.
1. Exorcist
2. Amittyville Horror
3. The Shining
4. Prince of Darkness
5. The Omen

These 5 are tops and were really very scary when each was released in the theatres. All the later movies (even Stephen Kings who is one of my fave authors) are kind of...lesser creations in my opinions. These were scarey on a primal level rather than in a shock value sort of way.

I must say reading any of these in book form, in the dark on a stormy night is a guarenteed nightmare waiting to happen.

The scariest thing is that you ever watched it!

Seriously, I'd go for The Shining.
Jack Nicholson's face is simply breathtaking, and not in the positive sense...

I know what you mean B_part, when he's talkign to the ex-caretaker/waiter in the toilets when he'd had drink spilt on him, the face he pulls when talkign to Mister Grady and telling him how, "you chopped your wife and kids into little pieces, then blew yer brains out" is amazingly funny and just goes to show what a great actor Jack Nicholson is.
