I am at a lost, I have the info for what you have to do ( I cheat) but it won't work. first I clicked the #3 switch, then put the coin in the slot, and it opend door #1. I then got the stuff in the chest, tried what it said to do next, did swith #2 (well it says you need to do swith 2 and 3, I have done it leaving swith 3 the way it was, after switch 2, tried 'resetting' switch 3 ..after doing switch 2)then putting the coin in, and it says that the doors are making sound but failed to open.

what it says to do is: "The sequences are (from left to right)lever 2 opens 1st door, lever 2&3 open 2nd door, levers 3&4 open 3rd door, levers 1&2&3 open 4th door, levers 1&3&4 open 5th door (where the last monkey idel is), levers 1&2&4 open the 6th door."
it says you must filp a swith or swithes and insert a coin in the slot.

As I said, it seemed to work ok for the first room but not after that. what am I doing wrong?

Did you reset all levers to their original settings before proceeding to the next sequence? They're kinda particular about that....

To reset them, they should all be "up" and no eyes should be glowing. Look at the eyes. That's what tells you whether or not the switches are "on".

I didn't need to reset between coins. The following are the correct "codes."
From left to right:u-up; d-down
uudd
uudu
uddu
dddu
ddud
dudd

Hope this helps.
