I never had this guy, and I was wondering. Why is he lawful? What is his story? I would be interested to know.

Well the Githanyik (sorry for the spelling) and the Yithanik (again very sorry ) are from the same race, conquered by the Illithids and worked together to free their world. One race is very lawful and the other very Chaotic. He is lawful due to the belief of his people. The two hate each other and the only way to get them off their throats is toshow them illithids.

Dakkon is lawful due to race and belief.

he´s story is though a tragic one since he is bound to serve the Nameloess and as such has betryed his people, he knows that he is destined to follow the Nameless into death.

While I could easily spoil you, I strongly suggest that you replay the game and find out for yourself..it is a very interesting story and involves a great deal of roleplaying, conversation and mystery. Please try and find out for yourself, it is so much more fun...
I'll just give you a hint: his life is tangled with that of the Nameless One.

Damn! Wolfie you were ahead of me

Edit: the races are called Githyanki and Githzerai.
Maybe you could make your post a bit less spoilish Wolfie, it would be so much nicer to just find out in the game.....

Yeah, Dakkon really rocks, and that is one cool sword he has got. Also I think he really adds a lot to the story.

I thought the Githzerai were the chaotic ones? I know their story though, in essence they are all altered humans. -Are Githyanki not killed when they reach above 11th level? And Githzerai above 9th? (ie. 9/9/9, but not 10?)

No infinity engine games threw out race restrictions on levels and if you got the time you can reach level forty in planescape:torment.
