Whenever I start up the game or whenever I access any of the options on the side panel (journal, inventory, character info screen, etc), and I move the mouse around, the picture of the hand (the cursor) drags behind it. I havn't played BG1 ever since I disabled DirectDraw acceleration for BG2 to speed it up (about 2 or 3 weeks ago), so I never noticed this before, and I'm not sure if it's from disabling this. Would re-inabling this fix it? Or is it something else? I don't remember if I disabled 3d acceleration to speed up BG2 also...I'll go check in a few minutes.

Edit: I want a enabled DirectDraw, opened up BG1, and the dragging hand was gone. I re-disabled it, and the dragging hand was back. So that was the source of my problem. But why then, does disabling it do this to my BG1 game, but it makes my BG2 game faster with out this problem?

I had the same problem and i could not fix it with a patch....My disk's where destryoed i think that was my problem. If you have really scratched disks that could be it.

No, I figured out the problem already. You just need to enable DirectDraw, although scratched CDs could be something else that causes these problems. Anyway, it's all good for me now

I wouldn't be surprised, if you have an older version of the game, if it is just too fast for the programme to comtemplate. Im usually wrong, but its a possiblity. (maybe)
