The thing is, I'm far from being the best here in Iceland, what I have over the others here is that I'm one of the few who's working on folk tunes, blues and improvising on the side in addition to the classical side. A classical player is always amazed when he hears a folk fiddler playing because those things are made to look hard when they are really pretty simple, well not as hard as the sound anyway . I'm not saying its easy.
But if you want to hear the best, tune into the real deal 'cats' like Stephane Grapelli and Marc O'Connor. Or on the classical side players like David Oistrakh, Heifetz and Joshua Bell.
