...what would they be, and wgy?
Mine are: nrant:
1. Busted, and the people who call them punk.
2. In Ross Noble style, Craig David. He really annoys me.
3. People who question me about my private life- they have no right to know every detail.
4. Also in the Ross Noble style, clipboards. They never fit in your bag, and you have to carry them around and look like a jerk.
5. Pop Idol and manufactured pop bands- things like that just tell the public what to like, and they don't even care if they have talent, just if they look good. If those people had real talent, theuy would make their own way in the world.

I totally agree with you on Pop Idol...I vented those exact words to my parents last night after it was on. If they had real talent, grit and determination they could make it on their own. But they don't, I bet they can't even write their own songs. It's all cover, cover, cover nowadays. Man...plus they end up trashy anyway, regardless of the programme. Or I think so anyway...

As for what I'd put in Room 101, what exactly does that mean? I think I get the general drift (basically what you think is really bad) but what does Room 101 mean?

Room 101? I assume you mean the torture room from Orwell's 1984?

I take it you haven't seen the program Room 101?
It's where you put things that REALLY get on your nerves, that you can't stand, and you think the world would be better off without.

Nope, but they probably borrowed the name 'Room 101' from the novel 1984.

In the novel Room 101 was where you had to confront your worst fear. So the tag line of the TV program is: "If you could put something into Room 101, what would it be?". The thing is that people are meant to put stuff in thats annoying, comically so, instead of actually being their worst fear. Its a bit of a weird use of the book term, but its a very funny program sometimes - depends who they have on. Ricky Gervaise putting "Children in Need" in is my personal favorite...

I recall few things that my teachers told me at school but one has always stuck in my mind. My French teacher once thundered out to me (after I told him "I've never heard of it"):

BOY! Never boast about your own ignorance!!

Think on.
