I have both SoA and ToB installed and m playin SoA as a Wild Mage! I have the newest patch instlled!
My system is a Athlon XP1800, Radeon 8500, Asus Raid, 512 DDR Ram, Win ME. I had this Error from time to time but as I soon as I entered Chapter 4 I get it after 5 minutes of playin. It's called Windows Protection Error something and forces me to turn off the power. Sometimes if I hit the keys long enough it tell me that windows colsed my sistem. As long as I played on my old Pc i never had such problems. O yeah, on the "Load Games" screen the save pic and the char pics of the saves I ve done in Chaper 4 r completely screwed just some wild starnge lining. Might hav something to do with that. If anyone knows how to solve that problem plz tell me!

Windows protection error? Haven't seen that one since my 486 days

As long as I played on my old Pc i never had such problems.
I suspect you've answered your own question. Check to see what's different on your new system. You mentioned Windows ME: was that also installed on your old one? Have you got the latest video and BIOS drivers for your new system? Those are the first things I'd check. |

Yes I had the same ME on my old PC, got the latest Graphic drivers, but ain't too sure about that Bios one.
Goin to check on this
