I believe in it, in the "what goes around comes around" sense. However, I don't see it as absolutely determinative of events. Too many comparatively blameless people have terrible things happen to them. OTOH, it's been my experience that people who do bad things eventually have it catch up with them.

what if i open the phonebook, select a name randomly, find that person, and kill them?
did karma make them die? did they do something bad to make their name start with that letter, or have a phonebook printed with them on that page? (that is a really blunt example, but i think it's most effective that way) |
