How terrible for that family, and others who suffer from it. I can't imagine what it would be like to never fully sleep, and be in some halfway point all the time. I hope all the research eventually finds a cure.

well, the article doesn't say if this exhists outside of that family. So with luck, they will be able to cure them and the rest of the world will be safe. I wonder if the cure for Fatal Insomnia will also work for normal insomnia?
