Baron Ployers ANNOYING curse

right, i'vefound that derelict house, attackedployer. sum1 coudla told me 5 mages and an ogre would attack. I GOT SLAUGHTERED!!! ne tips on how to kill em all?
ps. Ployer was a piece of cake to kill

Go in the government district and talk to the mage in the Council's building.
When you go out, another mage approaches and you will have it easier - if you have the money. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I think it's something like 2000-5000 gold he wants. I can't remember exactly though.

Small change. 1500 for non-appearance and 3000 for helping you out. In that region anyway.

To have this quest, you must have Jaheira.
Use her.
Insect Plague is VERY useful against mages.

he wants 1000, but offer him 500 and he takes that (and still doesnt turn up)

Use Silence 15' radius on the mages or, like LennonCook said, Insect Plague. They won't be able to cast any spells anymore, so you can turn them into mince-meat easily (and get some XP as well)

Here is the way i have always done it, and never yet has it failed me
BEFORE you meet up with him in the tavern, go to the derelict house, with a theif set traps everywhere in the room (mainly where they appear) yoshi can set special traps, and with mages cast glyphs of wardings and skull traps, then go see Baron Ployer, then go back to the derelict house, send in one beefed up fighter (haste, protection from magic etc) then as soon as the dialog is finished, the traps will kill most (if not all) of them, and with your fighter mop up any survivors.
