Avatar is definitely in Cambridge, England. Was the seller in England? I am assuming so. IF in the States, it could take a long time to get there.

I live in cambridge England.

I pretended to be another potential buyer and got hold of his information (phone number and address).
At the same time my friend pretending to be me, got him to speak with us.
He said that he posted on Tue ( a day late) and that it should arrive withing 3 working days. He said he left the tracking number at work and will email it to me. However he still hasn't.

We use parcel force here and there are 3 grades: 24hours, 48 hours, and 1 week.

Situation Update:

Sun 11: We agreed upon hald money transfer on Monday and he would post on Monday. He promised next day delivery.
Mon 12: Paid half money into his band with receipt.
Tue 13: No news
Wed 14: Pretended to be another buyer. Got his address and mobile number.
He also said to the real me that he's been very busy and would give the tracking number to me tmr as he left it at work.

Thur15: No news
Fri 16: Txted him, but no news.

Royal Mail saids: Parcels are delivered via two options. The special delvery is 24 hours. The Normal service is 3-5 days. It's been 3 working days now. So I suppose I am just worried. What does everyone else think?

since you have all his information, if he does not send it, take it ad the recipt to the police

I really hope you will get your laptop Avatar. If not, then try whatever options available to get it. However if the other two buyers got theirs, you will probably get yours as well. [img]smile.gif[/img] Don't feel like you are badgering him. YOu have every right to do so! [img]smile.gif[/img]

Avater, Parcel Force or 'We just plain suck' as it should be called have probably lost it, delivered to the wrong house, left it outside the door to be pinched. They just suck and this is from an ex-postie. You be lucky to get it in a week, relax if it doesn't arrive threaten him with court, still nothing report him, if you still get nothing turn up at his home and get it.

Well I always found parcel force to be quite quick.
I mean they usually do it in three working days.

Anyway hopefully i get it today... just wish I had a tracking number.

Quick update:

I got through to him on phone and he claims that he emailed the tracking code to me days ago. I certainly didn't get it!! He said he'll txt it to me on Monday morning. I mean is he lying or what? If he is, why is he buying himself small amounts of time?

Why couldn't he txt you the tracking code right away?
You could always try phoning parcel force to see if they have any record of the parcel...though I've never done this myself so I'm not sure if they can easily track individual parcels.
