I', 5'9" and my soon-to-be ex-boyfriend is 5'8". I prefer men to be at least a little taller so I can wear heels, but it's not as important as personality. That said, someone find me a taller boyfriend, quick! Please! I'm not picky at all. I just want him to be slightly insane, dark-minded, and as clever as a winking corpse in a tuxedo. Oh, and not a religious zealot! I just spent the last few years chasing the wrong guy- we dated on and off the entire time but he couldn't marry me because I'm not christian. He married some christian girl that he'd been cheating on instead. As long as everyone is happy, right? (sense some bitterness? lol)

Well, the answers are interesting so far! Hey for all you guys who like short women, any idea what it is about them that you are attracted to? In the thread on the other board someone suggested that the tall men/petite women combination might be because the men like to feel they can 'wrap themselves around their women for protection and cuddling' and the women agreed that was part of the attraction. Is that what you all think? Or do you have different theories?
I don't think men are attracted to small women per se, but to women smallER than they are. If you're two metres tall, a woman smaller than you can still be tall.

But yes, I tend to like it when a man is taller or at the very least as tall as me, though I'm not about to make any semi-psychological comments as to why that is.
I'm 180 centimetres by the way, I think that's 5'9.
I had a highschool crush on a tiny Spanish guy once, and it was not fun!
LOL BK - I hear you!! While I do prefer taller men I would hate a huge length difference - makes lots of things easier if you are roughly the same length.

Although having size 3 feet is a total drag when it comes to shopping!

I know what you mean! I have teeny feet, which is cute and all , but sometimes they don't make shoes in my size! Plus they're really narrow, so there are some types of shoes I just can't wear. I've gotten used to every pair of non-thongs I've ever had giving me blisters every time I wear them . Luckily I pretty much only wear thongs these days
Thongs? I though they were a type of panty?

I agree! Most shoes are way too narrow! They squish you all outtah shape and are quite painful. They don't do width of shoes here so I only go by the size. I've found that in China they make lots of shoes my size I think that's because most ppl in china have my sized feet, yay! Although saying that.. I do own at least 60pairs of shoes. It's the shopping addiction that and the fact that my feet haven't grown in over 5 years.

Do you also find it really hard to wear heels? I can't wear heels over 3 inches cuz otherwise I'd be walking at 90 degrees or so it feels like. Mega painful!

[/QB]
oh sweetie ~huggles~ it's all in the posture, If you slouch you're bound to seem shorter than you are. I like you just the way you are but if you're desperate to grow... try sleeping earlier and eating lots of gai pian.

60.. contemplates storage space.... [/QB]
well you's seen my room! you know half my shoes don't fit in there and most of my 3 wardrobes packed of clothes usually go into loft storage or my parents wardrobes and I've had to get a clothes rack too.... ~sigh~ just shopping is sooooooo addictive.. and I've been a size 4 since I was 14... and since I have so many clothes, most of them don't show any wear... *sinkz into a puddle and contemplates shopping in france and china this summer*

They are a type of panty - thongs I mean. They're also called G-strings when you're talking lingerie, and they're a type of sandal (I think) when you're talking shoes.

As for high heels - it's no wonder they hurt your feet, as they force you to bend your feet at an unnatural angle. It totally unbalances your normal posture. This is also the reason behind a lot of men's attraction to high heels: the heels force you to take smaller steps, to stick your bottom and chest out more, and shape your legs differently. Of course, they can also seriously malform your feet and ruin your back
Personally I don't wear high heels (stiletto height) either - even if they didn't ruin your back and feet, I find them uncomfortable and they'd make me too tall. I always wear shoes with heels, just not the really high ones. My grandmother, contrastively, wore stiletto heels until she was well into her eighties - she was a real lady
