Right. I think I've found either a bug in the documentation, or yet another in the game. Has anyone had a bard that's been offered both Moon AND Fiend magic at the guild?

I have a level 11 rogue that I just turned into a Bard, and at the Magic Shoppee he's been offered training in both Moon and Fiend magic. Is this normal? I gather from the documentation that comes with the game that this should only be Moon magic?

Hi aestra!!!

If you want to read even more misinformation - try the strategy guide (or the Tome of Misinformation). The basic cause of such discrepancies is that documentation (and strategy guides) are most often written based on the game design. WHen the design changes, as it did in W&W with the rush to get it published before the development money disappeared, these changes are often not reflected in the documentation.

So enjoy the bonus!!

Smashing. Any other related bonuses I should know about, such as Samurai/Ninja with more potent powers?

This makes the Bard seem like a very potent combination )

Yes, Bard can train in both Moon and Fiend...s/he just can't excel in far as Fiend as in Moon. (1/2 level of skill=Fiend level). Still, it's great to get those cool low level Fiend spells such as Pain and Bloodlust. If you train far enough to Level 12, Bard can cast 6th level Fiend spells.

Cheers,

Or you can always just get him to level 7 fiend and plan on being a Warlock for a few levels later...
