LOL Whew!
LOVE The Song! Bows and arrows get better, but the ranged attacks in this particular game do lack severly. I think it is because the monsters just come up on you too fast...they have no concept of what "turn-based" means Moni [This message has been edited by Moni (edited 05-14-2001).] |

Moni, don't think you saw my edit, so I'll ask again !
When you invoke an anhk, is the result permanent? Or should I save them for when I need them... ------------------ The RudeDawg Known in these Forgotten Realms as Perin LightEyes and my girlfriends, Pamila and Pfil |

Invoking an ankh is permanent.
Save them for whoever you think needs that particular attribute bonus the most. They all top out at 24. Moni [This message has been edited by Moni (edited 05-14-2001).] |

RudeDawg,
Yes, result of ankh invocing is permanent. And archers... In my BG2 game I had 5-stars archer. After that watching those awful ranged attacks in W&W was just a pain! The arrows will be more killing though - later in the game, but... it will not change the situation. ------------------ Sincerely Yours, Tanda |

OK, just to be sure y'all mean what I think you mean.
Invoke the anhk. Anhk is gone. One atrribute raised one point permanantly. Moni, why would I need to save them if they are permanent? ConfusedDawg ------------------ The RudeDawg Known in these Forgotten Realms as Perin LightEyes and my girlfriends, Pamila and Pfil |

Because I was thinking you are playing a multi-character game and I am a ditz!
Some people have saved them, made new characters and used the ankhs to up their stats before they ever left town. Moni |

LOL
Never mind, I'm reading the tips section on the main board, and I found what I figured you meant. You can only "train" an attribute to 19, then you can use the anhk to go higher... My strength is at 18, I'll train once more through the guild, then use the anhk... ------------------ The RudeDawg Known in these Forgotten Realms as Perin LightEyes and my girlfriends, Pamila and Pfil |

Cowboy-Ironman-DAWG rides again!!! Go Dawg Go!
Staying a Ranger, huh? Well, my only comment about that is there are so many other great choices and after awhile you need a gazillion points to level up, so it may be advantageous to try another role after you reach a level where it is taking too long to go up - know what I mean??? That was the only reason I tried a Bard role for awhile, because it was the only one my Wizard was qualified to ascend to, then she got more training as she leveled up as well as gaining valuable experience in the area of my choice - thus she became qualified for other roles and again easily leveled up - get it! Oh, let me stop rambling, you get it, don't cha!? Well, good luck in the Toad Village (you are probably past this now and on to another adventure). Remember "Toad village is for toads" and enjoy your stay Sounds like you are going to be "Going TOAD" on that snake hissing guy! LOL One question please, in the crypt did you find all the tombs in the Hall of Heros? You only mentioned the one, just wondered. . . Happy to hear you are enjoying the horse. Hope he makes up for not liking the darkness. I loved swimming under the water too! Anything I missed???? Later, God speed! Mammawlin |

Way to go, RudeDawg! Sounds like you're doing well.
IMO, you're going to have SEVERE problems when you...nevermind, no spoilers. I would think it would be VERRRY difficult to continue along a Ranger path on the other side of Ishad N'ha, though....and that's all I'll say on the matter. Those vine spells will come in very useful soon, though! -Sazerac |
