So I guess homosexuals, and women will continue to be oppressed and as for the evil of aids a u-turn on the use of condoms is not expected. Wonders how many more people will suffer of aids and other disease’s during this guys tenure :sigh:

Although they probably couldn't have picked a more conservative pope if they'd tried. What happened to the Latin-American one as a stopgap before an African pope?? |

What about the Czec Cardinal? Doesn't he have blood lines to 'All Eureopean' Nations? I think he might be a little young, so maybe he will be in the running next go round?

78? Is there some rule against having a pope that's not... you know... decaying?
I'm not looking forward to a "conservative" pope. Not when John Paul was "liberal". That doesn't sit well with me at all.
