We have a favorite gelato shop we go to. Paciugo.

Gelato : the famous Italian frozen bit of heaven. Creamier than ice-cream, smooth as silk and oh so very great.

but only in Texas do you get these flavors.
(cut and paste from the email I received today)

Quote:

Paciugo is ready for the HOTTEST holiday this season.
Come join us for the most sizzling Fiesta!

Poppin' Chocolate
Celebrate with a flavor that sizzles like the holiday! Our decadent
chocolate with white-chocolate-covered Pop Rocks. Feel the fireworks in your
mouth!

Mango Milk
Exotic indulgence; the creamy texture of our milk base gelato combined with
fresh mangoes to make Paciugo’s silkiest fruit flavors.

Pineapple Orange
A refreshing treat for anytime, like a sunny day in a cup (or a cone!).

Chocolate Jalapeño
Our three-alarm gelato in two versions; rich chocolate gelato mixed with
spicy fresh jalapeños and smooth jalapeño jam, with or without a hint of
mint. For fire-eaters only!

See you at Paciugo!

I am still of the opinion that there are some places jalapenos should not be... and ice cream or anything resembling ice cream is definately one of them. or two of them....

Anywho... I thought these flavors were a joke until I saw who it was from - Paciugo is not in the habit of humor in their emails, only promotion. So I looked again.... Just plain weird.

"hey" charean, thankyou for the laymen's term definition of
gelato. I was about to say that I am not a coffie drinker.
buffulo sauce in ice cream? YUCK!

it is intresting how fads and food styles are regenal.
we here in the akron ohio area cut potato's in 1/4ths longways
and cook them in a light, salty breading, and we call them "jojo's"
