when I fought those people I just led them down the stairs with my strongest character, one by one. I had all the other characters at and away the foot of the stairs, with swords, bows, and spells ready. It is really easy this way.

I usually do the circus first (Aerie really helps against these guys). I summon a dryad and 4 other monsters (the dryad from Call Woodland Beings expands your spellcasting, and is useful in fights where you need magical firepower). I do this AS SOON AS I COME UP THE STAIRS, since the only one that can see you is the berserker (and he is not hostile). I then charm the berserker, cast invisibility on Minsc, and have Yoshimo hide in shadows. I sneak Yoshimo behind the mage (backstab will wipe him out), and Minsc behind the imp. I send the berserker after the thief in the corner (he hits him hard and fast enough that he won't turn invisible; pepper him with arrows as needed to take him down quickly. Have your summoned creatures attack the dwarf, EXCEPT FOR THE DRYAD. Have the dryad throw spells like confusion, hold person on the dwarf, etc. Also, have Aerie cast hold person repeatedly at the dwarf. If you throw several of these his way, odds are it will work to disable him. Let your summons hammer him, while you finish off all of the other combatants, then concentrate everything on him until he drops. Then finish off the berserker (the charm should wear off about then), and you're done! The imp may give you some problems with confusion; if need be, cast dispel magic at it, then hit it with all of your missile weapons (it will drop quick).
