Welcome to IW MonkeyMan
But this topic belongs in the IWD thread, but what are you using keys for. Normally, keys are used automatically when you open a door that needs a key and you have the key.

The keys just need to be in your inventory.

Monkeyman,

My welcomes, too, from the IWD/HoW forum (where your post has been moved to).

Your question is a very common one. I wondered myself. It is like SecretMaster said: If anyone in your party has a key to a certain door, then the key holder, or anyone else in the party, can open the door which that key goes to, as if the door wasn't locked. No special action is necessary. It is as if the presence of the key in the party's inventory erases the "locked" status of the door: just open it up and walk right in!

And to answer another question you may soon have: After the door is unlocked the first time it remains unlocked, and the key is no further value and may be discarded. (I like to throw all of them in some handy chest in Kuldahar, just in case I mistakenly throw away a key before I use it. I know I am straying off-topic, here; but after you are able to pick your way into the locked box at the Kuldahar Smithy/Weapon shop, it makes a very convenient and secure stash point for keys and all those things you can't or don't want to sell, but don't want to carry around.)

What's a party,
without a song?
Bards ROCK!
Party on!!
