You have to use the fire or acid to actually strike the killing blow on the trolls, by the way. Injuring them with it won't keep them down, at least not that I've seen. I found the oil flasks to be quite useful for this task, but be careful! Your party members can be injured when if they stand too close when the flask is thrown.

fire or acid arrows,fire or acid based magics can finish them!or if you have fire elemental or fire based magical weapons,you can do that.

withe the trolls while it is true to use a fire/acid weapon to kill them(once their down), it is possible to eventually kill a troll with a magic weapon that is not fire/acid. this method does take considerably longer but it does work(it has happened to me many times). With this method I believe the critical hit(where you completely obliterate the enemy) is what deals the blow.
has this happened to anyone else?

Yeh Marco, that thing happens to me quite alot, albeit with my blunt weapons more than anything else. Does anyone know if being able to finish off trolls with blunt weapons is correct?

Basically what happens when you kill a Troll with no Fire/Acid.. your hitting the troll (while still standing) for more damage than he has HP's left, that's all. (Usually a Critical hit, they are usually fairly low on HP's when they "go down") Generally it's just a fluke [img]smile.gif[/img]
