Well i just started and somebody gave me 1 gold to be in thier clan. I am not realy used to WoW but my friend says that amount of money is like 500k on Runescape. So in the minds of fellow Ironworkers, what is alot of money in your opinion, or whats the most you have ever had?

Most I've ever had is 150g, and that was due to a lucky epic drop.

I then proceeded to blow it all on Engineering to fast-track level it

I'd say a lot of gold is 1000g+ with an Epic Mount is a lot.

Heck, I'd say anyone who has bought an Epic Mount (not counting the Rank 11 PVP Cheap-Epic-Mount, or epic mount drops) is rich.

That's just me, I'm pretty poor on WoW.

I stay pretty broke on all my toons, though I do have an epic mount on my mage Thuvia. She has a whopping 30g right now though.

From how hard it is to obtain money in WoW compared to Runescape, I'd say 1g is equivalent to about 10-20k in RS. I mean, back when I played Runescape I had a lvl 73 worth about 1.2 mil. I played on him for months to aquire that cash. If 1g is equal to 500k, then it should take months to get 3g. I currently have about 5g on my WoW guy after playing for a few weeks, and that's with a large cash drain for enchanting.

1g is nice to have early on, but its not "rich".

1g isn't bad for low levels (sub 10, your stinking rich), being able to buy your mount @lvl 40 without having to pawn off your crap is good, I managed to buy my mount and mail for my hunter, though now I'm broke and bored, my main goal being just to get my mount lol.

I'm not sure about runescape but I'm sure that 1 gold in WOW is equal to 3 million zeny in Ragnarok online.

I currently have 280 gold. Now at level 59. I say I will not have enough gold to buy a epic mount when I reach level 60. So when I reach 60 I'll start farming gold.

Most I've ever had was 500 gold from an epic item and it was grueling just keeping it in my inven. so I eventually spent it. I don't bother buying 800g+ epic mounts though, when you can get one for just 90g at Commander .

I spend my cash on enchants, crafting and stuff like that, but if I had saved it all up, I might have gotten close to 800 gold so far in my wow carrer. Since I don't save up I'm usually at around 10 gold.

Edit: But of course I don't farm gold, I got that from running instances. I tried the other day, and if I farm I can get something like 15-20 gold an hour, but that's at 60. Before that, one gold way a lot.

Yes, I notice grinding gives more gold than questing. But you'll level up much faster with questing than grinding.
