I agree. I don't like pop-ups/trojans/viruses and I am using pretty good protection: Mozilla Firefox, two AV programs, firewall, Ad-Ware, Spybot - Search & Destroy. If anyone knows even more protection please tell.

Finally, I probably have a bunch of it on my computer....I don't trust the scanner thingys.

Although HijackThis is pretty userunfriendly. You might need advice from experts at what a scans results mean.

In that case, yeah, I'd be willing to bet you have quite a bit of the stuff on your comp. Do you not run any virus or spyware scans??

Well, I'll suggest getting Ad-aware and AVG anti-virus. Both are very trustworthy.
