OK...I just finshed chapter 4 last night. I guess I have some questions which are unresolved (about crap I'd been carrying for 2 chapters, etc.)
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ (adding spaces so I don't ruin the game for you)~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ First, when I was in the ale-house just outside of Luskan and did the Competion, a Dwarf attacked me. (Hey, I know some people pay good money for that, but it was lost on me) More specifically, he and my summoned animal got into it & he was dead before I got there. Anyway, he dropped a huge axe with "a Distictive Notch In It" that I picked up. I know it was supposed to go to someone, but I don't know who. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Second, when Aribeth and I 'clashed', somehow I ended up with her bastard sword. Who was supposed to get that?

The axe is for a henchman quest; I'm pretty sure for the half-orc fighter. However you would have needed to give it to the henchman in the chapter you got it in, so it's useless now. I don't know if Aribeth's sword is supposed to go anywhere (except in your pack ). I managed to keep her alive so I didn't see her sword.

??? HOW did you keep Aribeth alive? I tried Really hard not to kill her...thought about 'sleep'ing her & teleporting away, etc. How did you do it?

She will surrender/submit when she gets down low enough in hit points. You must have gotten a critical hit right before she was going to surrender. I've played that scene several times and got her to surrender every time but the first. If you're playing a mage, you have to be very careful what spells to cast on her. Extended duration spells are a DEFINITE no-no. I ended up killing her the first time when repeated castings of Melf's acid arrow got her.

The Notched axe is for Daelen Red Tiger's quest (Henchmen)
Aribeth's Sword is a plot Item, but you can keep it; it's not for a quest. It is only useable by Lawful Evil Paladins, or someone witha use magical item rating of atleast 10

I thought Aribeth's sword was a level 24 item usable only by LE paladins (i.e. Blackguards) ..... and therefore unusable by anyone regardless of alignment.
