You know, my X used to cry when she lisetened to music about once a month. I wonder if this is some unusual female thing

Fur Elise would be great. I find Wagner most moving...deep and emotional.

Amen, my sister. Wagner's flight of the Valkeries rocks!! I love to crank the stereo so the furniture vibrates and the kitties run! Remember Bach's spooky song? Its like a fugue or something? I used to always play that sucker super loud. I learned that its not how loud your music is, it's what type. I could play Metallica "And Justice for All" at that level and people would complain quite loudly.

For me, the most emotional is Verdi's requem. The songs seem so powerful and I try to sing along even though it's in Latin.

Thanks for the help on the flight of the bumblebee.

Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor I play it on the piano and keyboard.

As to the volume at which you play Wagner: I play it so loud my kitties hide in the closet and I think I'm deaf for a day afterwards.

Verdi's Requiem is also quite nice.

And Milamber: It's not that kind of emotional dear. I'm quite sure of it.

Wow!! I knew there had to be one of us who was talented in the family!!

Okay, last one and then I'll leave you alone.

You know the Even Stephen song on Mozart's Requem? What are they really saying?
It sounds like:

Even Stephen
Even something
dent dent dent

I don't play any instrument but I sing well.

I now fully understand why mom liked you so much better than me. That was truly magnificent and munificent of you to do that for me. Thank you, Bren...Breanna. Please don't think any less of me (as if you could) if I continue to sing "even Stephen" when I hear that song.

Oh, behave. You know mom liked you best. You were the one to always get stuff down off the highest shelf for her.

Here is another favourite... and very beautiful

Into My Arms - Nick Cave

I don't believe in an interventionist God
But I know, darling, that you do
But if I did I would kneel down and ask Him
Not to intervene when it came to you
Not to touch a hair on your head
To leave you as you are
And if He felt He had to direct you
Then direct you into my arms

Into my arms, O Lord
Into my arms, O Lord
Into my arms, O Lord
Into my arms

And I don't believe in the existence of angels
But looking at you I wonder if that's true
But if I did I would summon them together
And ask them to watch over you

To each burn a candle for you
To make bright and clear your path
And to walk, like Christ, in grace and love
And guide you into my arms

Into my arms, O Lord
Into my arms, O Lord
Into my arms, O Lord
Into my arms

And I believe in Love
And I know that you do too
And I believe in some kind of path
That we can walk down, me and you
So keep your candlew burning
And make her journey bright and pure
That she will keep returning
Always and evermore

Into my arms, O Lord
Into my arms, O Lord
Into my arms, O Lord
Into my arms

(The part in italics always gives me goosebumps...
