Im an evil little thing, and therefore i gave Valygar to the Cowled ones. But first I opened the sphere myself. Can I still get the mage stronghold???

I'm pretty sure you can still get it since you can still get the sphere if you used Valygar's dead body to get in.

Valygar is needed only to open the sphere, not to enter it or do the quest.

I actually used the LIVING body of Valygar, then turned him in to the Cowleys...Im evil!
I guess I can still get the quest, then?

You can get the quest so long as the outer door to the sphere is open. Valygar is a key, nothing more.
