Syltie (weapon made by me)

can anybody give me suggestions on how to even this up?

Katana +5: Syltie
Syltie was the name of the creator of this blade. it was created out of sheer lothing for the healthy people that surrounded him because he was an ill man pale skin and such. so one day he created this blade to banish the healthy from around him.

whenever the sword strikes an opponent gets stunned ( Save vs. Spell)
Disease (12 seconds 4 per second) (Save vs Death)
Blindness (18 seconds) (Save vs Petrification)

Speed Factor: 1
Proficiency Type: Katana
Type: 1-handed

you do realise that you would have to use the 2 handed sword animations to do this, so it would apear that you character is holding a 2 handed sword in the game.

How about penalties? -2 to Charisma.

I always thought it would be fun to make a weapon that has a % chance to make the wielder change alignment to evil.

ok, I am trying to be fair here.
first of all, it is a +5 weapon. in AD&D, weapons above +4 are extremely rare. those are frged by ones have strong faith as well as skills, or blessed by some gods.

so, fine, you made a +5 weapon. then at least let people know HOW exactly did it come to live? who enchanted? (a suggestion is some jealous/angery god.) and what story does it make out? who others wielded it? and why is it where it is now?

you could say it is a gift ffrom some sickly god using to destroy people with good health, and the story blah blah blah, like that. just little suggestion.

Phantom plate mail, also known as "Plate of the Gods" ,is very powerful armor.It shimmers crystal in your hand lookig almost as though i ts not there. This plate mail was locked away in a dungeon many millenia ago because it was too powerful & upset the balence of nature. Until half a centurie ago it was taken from its home to amn to be sold to highest bidder.

heh, that is the same as hacking, and if you talk about hacking, that isn't too powerful at all.

to get a start

how about 1d8 +3, 20% drain 1d4 cons & chrisma each hit (not permenante)
and the wielder sufers -2 cons and chrisma due to the kantana's strong demanding of health?
