Show Me the Money!

Haven't purchased ToB yet and so I am trying the game with an evil Assassin. We're on day 4 now and have over 100,000 gold. I'm taking advantage of one of those "legal loopholes" the game has--my assassin is using the Gloves of Pickpocketing and 2 potions of Master Thievery for a 170% pick pocket chance. We've collected 2 rogue stones and now I'm just selling them to the store on the first floor of the Shadow Thief guildhouse, stealing them back, and selling them again. Has anyone else noticed and/or tried this? At this rate, I'll just let Imoen rot and retire in luxury.

Please excuse me--I'd write more but I have to go do some serious shopping with Bernard, Ribald, Diedre, and Joluv.

Assassins are cool! I played one too and the options you get just for being evil and have a job that specialises in removing people are fantastic!

Only problem is, money issint that important in BG2. Sure you've got stuff from the bonus merchants and all, but other than that, you won't need too much of it because its always in abundance and you find your best stuff in quests and combats anyway.

Actually, the main reason you'd need money is to keep your reputation high if it falls too low from all your thievery. That way you can bribe priests to say good things about you.
