Multiplaying BG2 on the Net

am i gonna need a fat connection to do this? or will net bg2 run on a slower connection?

It will run on a slower server just fine.... just make sure u close all other programs for low Ping

Glorfindel is right.

The game will run on slower severs, just try to remeber to make your ping as low as possible, ,for and example, I played Legend of Mir on my old 26k modem, and that palyed fine and that can have over 300 people playing in one area at a time.

Must admit that I run it on a cable interface and its no problem. The only worry is finding a crew that is:

(1) serious about roleplaying and;
(2) not maxed out to the *teeth* with hacked goodies.

Mind you, I may just be feeling a tad cynical tonight. Age will do that to you!

Yes that is usally my problem as well, finding a group.

Well I absoloutely Love playing BG2 on the internet.... only problem is my comp crashes all the time so it never works..... but the few times I have its Great [img]smile.gif[/img]

And a soloution 4 the hacked goodies Angel.... New game [img]smile.gif[/img] or in the Permisions u can ditch Items I think...
