Sorry to ask such a moronic question but I searched and didn't really turn up anything . So I know it's like an add-on/expansion type thingy, but where do I get it? Do you buy it like TOTSC, or download it? If so, where can I download it from? Can you install it at any time like TOTSC or do you need to start a new game when you add it? I'm going to install BG1 and TOTSC and play it again and I'd like to do something new as well
Thanks

Dark Side of the Sword Coast is generally the first major mod for any of the Infinity Engine games. It was created as a large add-on for BG1 well before most of the current mod-making tools were developed. It contains several new areas, items, NPC's, etc, but it is a bugfest from hell...lol. You need to start a new game to access the DSotSC areas, and be sure to install it BEFORE you install any other mods, especially WeiDu mods.
You can download the file from its webpage at http://www.dsotsc.com/ The forum for the mod is here: http://www.teambg.net/forum/?c=2 You might also want to watch this forum: http://chosenofmystra.db-forge.com/m...forum.php?f=44 as the good people over at the Chosen of Mystra are working on revamping and updating the mod to be less bug-a-licious. Good luck!

Thanks Icelus . What sort of bugs? Maybe I'll leave it for now and concentrate on finally finishing BG1 for the first time

Well, to be perfectly honest, I don't know what bugs specifically, I have just heard many, many reports of them. Things like bad grammer/spelling in the dialog, lack of dialog, no descriptions on the new items, getting level drained with now way of restoring them, etc. Use it at your own risk...lol
On a side note, here are some BG1 mods you might want to consider: Ease of Use: http://pageperso.aol.fr/Ipotemine/ The Vault: http://www.angelfire.com/rpg2/azenmod/ BG1 Adventure Pack: http://chosenofmystra.db-forge.com/m...opic.php?t=396

You can live without it, it isn't all that great. The few times I've tried it, some place in the east always causes trouble, makes the game crash and all.

Wait for the reworking, and hope someone makes it BG:trilogy compatible. With modern tools, it should be worth getting when its reworked.
