Deiter looks at the little pup and grins."He does act like him doesn't he?" He starts to hear a scraping noise outside Oh hell...I forgot to put the ladder up! The half elf went outside to see some rather odd looking man half way up the ladder."Hey! What are you doing?" The man looked down to see the ranger and climbed up the ladder faster. Who is that guy? Deiter went up the ladder and the man was gone. Ok...thats weird, theres no way he could of got off here...inless he jumped... He thought as he looked at roof.

Seems that not much has taken place while we were gone, Isabeau. ~ Her sharp eyes spy the group of her companions through the window. ~ Look at all of them, crowding around the tavern and not having as much fun as we did. ~ She turns to look at her familiar ~ I bet no one really missed us, except Larry. ~

A ghost of a smile appears on her lips and she presses on her way. ~ Come on, girl, we're here. ~ Saying, she gently pushes open the door and re-enters the tavern.

~She sets the pup next to Chaos on the dusty cloth, running outside to Deiter. She looks up, shielding her eyes from the sun.~ "What is it?"

Deiter looks down at Chani from the roof."I'm not sure...I saw some guy climb up here then take off when he saw me." He looks around with a confused look then climbs back down.

Unable to catch the drift in Sephi's conversation, she looks around the room. ~ It would be extremely rude to ask Sephi to repeat what he had just said...I guess it's back to the old business of sweeping... ~

She picks up her special broom and resumes her earlier self-assigned task, careful to avoid the feet of her companions.

~She shrugs, looking up at the roof quizically. After a moment of contemplation she turns back to Deiter.~ "S'pose we'd better put the ladder away then." ~She slowly lowers the ladder to the ground, then elevates one end. She whistles to him, tossing her head to the side.~ "Get the other end."

Deiter grabs the other end of the ladder and they haul it off. Right after they put the ladder up he saw the man again. This time he was on another roof stareing at Deiter. He turned to see if Chani saw, but she was already heading back towards the tavern. Looking back at the roof the man was gone as quickly and silently as the wind.
Who is that??? was going through his head as he cought up with Chani.

~They near the corner of the tavern, still out of the line of sight of anybody inside. A flash of motion catches in the corner of her eye. She turns around, eyes darting to Deiter.~ "Did you see that?" ~She bites her lower lip, scanning the roof.~ "I think we'd better find this over-sized squirell."

Deiter nodded as he scanned the roofs"I think you're right." He looked back at ground level from the roof and saw the man a good distance from them. The hooded unknown person seemed to be stareing into Deiter's soul as the air turned cold. He shivered as the cold air seemed to go through the very core of him. Blinking, the man was gone....again....
