Poland just beat Brazil (who were 4 times world champions in this age group) in the opening match 1-0.
Wow! What an excellent start. The World Cup just started. In the second match USA drew 1-1 with S. Korea.

Didn't catch the opening games but I plan to see some!
Did Kerlon play for Brazil? We've been linked with him and all I can find on YouTube are videos of his trademark trick "The Seal Dribble". Just wanted to know if he was actually a decent player rather than being able to head a ball and run

I saw bits of it, has been repeated so I caught 20ish mins then. You guys certainly looked quick, didn't you go onto win it or am I dreaming the whole thing?

Watching the youngsters play gave me a better feeling then watching the big boys on the WC last year, they still play sorta reckless and with their hearts, not yet corrupted by tactical nitwit coaches and suitcases full of money. They qualified for the olympics in Beijing next year during the tournament, as did England and a few other European squads, and i'm really looking forward to that.

Aye know the feeling. McClaren has to realise you don't have to play players cos they're on £100,000 a week wages, or cos they come from "the big four", or whatever. Play the best players, and if that means dropping a big name then do it!

No, I meant the U-20 WC. Group F (Costa Rica, Japan, Nigeria, Scotland) is playing in my city and we also get a match from the Round of 16.
