Oh, oh. That's probably due to my last post there.

I used a wrong symbol there. If I try to type it here, the preview post reports that there is an illegal code in my post. The symbol I mean is typed by shift and period (.). Looks like the head of an arrow pointing right. Don't know a better description.

Sorry.

Hmm. Can you try to edit the post? I would like to read/post something else to it.

Thanks!

Unfortunately, no. I get the same error when I try to view the thread.

Its not deejax' post thats causing the problem, Ziroc posted a few minutes later. And theres nothing in Ziroc's post either. I think its just a broken file somewhere on the server.

Hmm, nice to hear.
But in the error message it say
"unexpected 'x' in"
where the x is the symbol I used. That made me think it was all my fault.

Edited for typo

I get the parse error message too, so I can't edit anything or look at the problem.

I've never heard of a mere symbol managing to crash an entire page, but then again, I suppose it was never put to the test before. I doubt the use of that symbol caused all of this, though the possible implications if it *did* cause such an error could be rather painful, and the problem could be open to abuse.

the arrow symbols are used alot in html and javascript. if you type them wrong, the script should just not execute properly and it look wrong. so if you use the (color=blue)(/color) tag but missed a > it would just miscolour, or not colour. it shouldnt crash a page.

(note, their is no disable html button, so ive used () instead of arrow brackets in the expression)
