Oh, Cecilia. Well, if my days with Simon and Garfunkel taught me anything, it was that a girl named Cecilia will break your heart. Good choice with curtain. . . I mean C number 1, MagiKman.

MagiK, Of course you were a "Jackass" ( us Jackasses have to stick together) , but then again I've posted this before reading your opening post as to why you were asking the question.

Edit after reading the post that brought about the question.
Magik, this is a official Jackass warning: you'll recieve 15 demerits for doing the right thing, on behalf of Jackasses everywhere how dare you show kindness, compasion, and human decency. You've singlehandly set the course of World Jackassness back centuries. I may have to go out and "Dog Cuss" old ladies, cut somebody off in traffic, and generaly double my "Jackassedness" just to set the world back on it's proper axis.

You did the right think Magik, not Jackasslike one bit Much better than phoning or e-mailing her. It showed you were still willing to take the time out and at least meet her (also taking care not to make her drive too far as well, which was very considerate), have a bite to eat, and tell her what was up in person. This way she may be disappointed, but not angry as you went the way of a gentleman.

Agreed that you did the right thing MagiK.
I believe Ceci2ia would be grateful that you tried to go about it with the most honesty and least amount of dissapointment.
The fact that you cared about someone you barely know, enough to consider what the best way for them would be and not be selfish about it, means she would ultimately be at peace about the whole matter IMHO.

All the best with C!

@ T.L. Yer Old!

@ J.D. Your funny hehe As long as they don't take my Union card I think Im ok.

@ Lady Z, I really apreciate all of the women's take on this, It is hard to know what the right thing to do is, when peoples feelings are involved.

@ Leonis, thanks for the support and kind words.

As a follow up, she popped on to AIM late in the after noon, said hello and we chatted about work for about a minute. Was, a nice thing for her to do.

Cecilia's a cool name! That's common in South Louisiana, BTW.

That reminds me of a cajun joke. Boudreaux had just married Cecilia in the church in Opelousas and they were driving to Baton Rouge on their honeymoon. Anyways in the car, ol' Boudreaux, he gets to feelin' frisky, it bein' his weddin' day an' all, so he reaches his arm around Cecilia and he starts playing with her right breast a little bit. She gets to squirmin' and gigglin' and finally she says, "Aw, Bou, we's married now! You can go farther now if you wanta!"

"Ok!" Boudreaux said, really excited.

So he drove on to New Orleans.
