Is it possible to get your raft past the wooden bridge just before you meet the oracles in the cave on the way to Ishad Nha? I've looked for a lever that might raise it but can't locate one. There's a couple of docks on the other side so that implied that you could take your raft all the way thru. Am I missing something or does everyone else swim the rest of the way?

Yes, there is...but it involves the spell pair "Create Portal" and "Teleport"...which you probably don't have right now.

Other than magically, no. Unless I missed something?

Thanks for the quick response. I'll just keep my swim fins handy until I get those spells.

Benihaha,
As far as I know, there is no way to take the rift with you ( except magic - the spells mentioned by Sazerac). But you can take the horse! That incredible animal swims as good as the rift, and - the horse can dive and swim under the wooden bridge!

Marjan_2,
The horse is not slow in swimming (using SHIFT key, of course)

In my past experience the raft is much faster (shifted) than the horse. But here is something I never tried:

Get on the horse and walk it onto the raft, get off the horse and click on the raft. Sail the raft to the wooden pier at the caves of Ishad N'ha and get on the horse for the rest of the way to town.

Many thanks to all of you for your quick and informative responses. I appreciate the help. I was going insane trying to figure out how to get the raft to the other side. I'm in the process of starting over since I talked to KOL? and must have hit a key too quickly. He didn't give me the key that I needed inside the temple and from the other posts on this site it looks like I wont be able to get it again. Oh well, I wanted to build some better characters now that I know how the game goes. I didn't know that each individual needed to accept each quest.

Thanks again.

Actually, you don't need the key from Kol...it's just used to find the Kerah statue. It gives you some more storyline information about what's occurring in the game (and consequently some more keywords for use in talking to other NPC's), but it doesn't affect completion of the end quest.
