Shrine Question

I am in Anephas's shrine, and there are these scarab guardians yelling at me, but they never attack. I can usually push them around (push, not fight). I did attackone to see, and it never fought back, am I not supposed to kill them (I didn't save after killing that one)? Are they not enemies? Or do they turn at some point and come after me? Sometimes they are hard to push out of the way, but I can do it if it's "better."

I did manage to toast both Guardians of ISIS from above, I spotted one, and killed him, then I looked for the other.

But no, I don't think there's anything wrong with killing them.
They're bad guys (in my book anyway)

Maybe you're just getting lucky. I've been blinded by them, turned insane, silenced...they have some nasty condition effect spells...sort of like the Mytharian Wisps.

Go on and whack them. They're opponents, and worth XP.

I wouldn't really call them "bad guys" as they're supposed to be guarding the holy shrine...but they are opponents.

When they started saying that "Lord Anephas must be protected!", I rolled my eyes and said, "Oh, yeah, you guys did a REAL good job of that when G'Ezzered Ra showed up, didn't you?" and proceeded to kill them. Incompetents!

I'm not using any stealth at all. They cry "We protect the shrine" or whatever and fly in the way, but the target stays blue on them, I couldn't talk to them. I guess I'll just whack 'em though.
