*puts on chef’s hat and apron whichs reads "Roast that melon!" * OK first off, there are obviously many different varieties of paella, I’m going to include 1 here, unless you REALLY want a specific type, but you can easily experiment with this one anyway. OK, the Paella is called “Paella of chicken”, try and remember that (direct translation btw) Basically Chicken paella, my favourite. It’s a bit simple, but a hell of a lot less hassle than the seafood paella. Ingredients (for four people)- 350 grams of rice, 1chicken, 6 spoonful’s of oil (olive oil being the best ), 1 ripe tomato, 3 cloves of garlic, 100 grams of green beans and one teaspoon (each) of paprika, saffron and salt. Preparation- Put some oil in the pan in which you are going to cook your paella (preferably a paella dish but obviously you may have to do without that, try using a very large frying pan.) and quickly add the chicken (which should be cleaned, cut into small strips/chunks and seasoned to personal taste at this point). Let it fry in the oil for about 5 minutes over a mild and gentle flame, and add the cleaned and cut tomato (remove the gunk inside), the (peeled) cloves of garlic, The green beans (which should be cleaned and cut into small pieces) and the paprika. Stir and leave the mixture for 10 minutes. Than add 1 litre of water, add the saffron and salt and then leave it for a further 20 minutes. You’re properly wandering where’s the rice? Don’t worry here it comes. Add the rice to the pan ensuring its now over a strong flame, and then reduce it to a medium flame (temperature). Than wait 20 minutes after you add the rice, after which you take the pan off the cooker and let it rest. Then proceed to eat it I hope you like it! I'd also like to point out that I accept no responsibility for any injuries that might should you or anyone else attempts to undertake the chicken paella! |

Aaaargh... you just raped a perfectly good paella. Where's the clams, mussels, shrimp, scallops, artichoke hearts and mushrooms ?
Blasphemy.
