MANILA (Reuters) - Greenpeace said Tuesday it will pay nearly $7,000 in damages after the environmental group's flagship, the Rainbow Warrior II, hit a coral reef at a world heritage site in the southern Philippines.

Well, at least they paid up but oh, the irony.

They owned up and paid up. Mistakes happen. If corporations acted this way, there'd be less need for Greenpeace. Exxon fought against paying for the Valdez disaster for over a decade.

Yeah, you gotta love the European wisdom regarding social violence inherent in gun bans -- I'd much rather be burned by a molitav cocktail than shot. Erm... Wait... I mean....

Exactly, Sir Degrader -- as I've said before, criminals will always be able to possess guns, as they don't care about the law. Ugh.. I'm starting a gun debate and don't mean to.
I'll post thoughts in thread about France riots. |

Actually, I think France isn't very big on gun-control. Not like Britain or the North-European countries. We'd have to ask Moiraine though.
