I use to absoutley love music..Then, after a while, I realized it all kind of sucked
There are very few bands I really even care to listen to anymore.. The Clash, Rush, Iron Maiden, U2 and Alice in Chains are ok. And Bruce Springsteen is good. And Megedeth.

A nonsensical question for most. Changes far too often and encompasses way too many bands. At the moment:
Sonicanimation White Zombie AC/DC The Dandy Warhols Nine Inch Nails (Reznor: the devil in disguise as god) The Tea Party Ween Chilli Peppers Sepultura (up to and including Against) A broad range as you can see. Musical taste is really at the whim of substance slavery.

There's a world of non-sucked music just waiting to be heard - try something other than MTV or commercial radio. (IMO the music on commercial radio would suck a lot less if they played some songs instead of that steady stream of jingles)

Why does it even have a M in it anymore? I am not really sure where the line is drawn between commerical raido and non commercial raido.

Whenever I hear someone suggesting that all music sucks, I laugh. It says more about them rather than music. We of course have two options when confronted with a plethora of music that 'sucks'. 1.Go searching for good music. It exists and in this day and age there is no excuse not to find it. It's a consumers paradise. Access to more cultures, more hostorical and modern music than ever before in human history. Music just keeps getting better. If you use the radio as your only barometer it means you are a SHEEP. 2.Make your own. Yep. It's an inherant talent all humans possess. Make your own music that doesn't suck. 3.Shut the hell up and quit pasting mud on an incredibly rich and diverse medium of human expression. On the language of emotion, that brings people to tears, to laugh, to dance or tap their foot or make their day a little better for a mmoment or two. |
