It was a teacher from Alabama. Now, you can view this as being a compliment to Alabama or not depending on your prespective on the American public educational system.

I go to a high-esteemed university that is run out of alabama actually, one that fits right up there with Harvard and Princeton but nobody knows or caes about... Either way, they wouldnt accept alot of my Clep scores and belive me they were well above the national average... anyhoo... Alabama's scools rock, but I do have a issue with the "greatest national teacher" I have no doubt in my mind that the greatest national teacher is my mother, Pat Boswell, who educates 3rd graders. She has taught them everything from Geometry to college level essay writing and has also educated them to identify all of the countries in the world, all of America's states and capitols and all of the planets of the solar system and their moons. She has covered all sources of human knowledge and kids leave her class with a firm understanding of the universe and some are even prepared to the point of saying they know what they want to do with the rest of their lives!
She's even got a website! so you see? Though you can label all the educatiors of the world I can affirm that I have in my house the finest teacher to ever exist in the school system, she targets children during the critical period in their lives, and makes the transition from childhood to juvenlity as secure as if they were adults already, the children who leave her class never complain about her and she has even been called "a second mother" by some. She puts her entire heart and soul and devotes nothing else of her energy but to her children. That's why she deserves the award and not someone from my Colleges state... oh yeah and uh... Go Trojans! ~ that's my home team Anyhoo... Peace!

I didn't know you were going to school in the state. Go Trojans? I know where.
