About 2 weeks ago I took a harmless looking black plastic box, measuring about 20x20x5cms, out of its box. I then attached 3 cables to the back of it and plugged these into various adaptors, including a larger biege box. This larger beige box was then connected to 3 other large beige boxes. A few subtle tweeks were made to allow these other beige boxes to access the power harnessed by the little black box. And thus the decline began.

Yes, my housemates and I have fallen into the trap of getting a broadband internet connection, and how we are beginning to regret it.
There was a point yesterday afternoon when all 4 of us were using messenger to have a conversation, despite the fact we were no more than 5 meters away from each other. It is scary how quickly this transformation takes place. Only a few weeks ago I was quite happy to sacrifice and hour of my time to visit the pub for last orders. Now I would rather sacrifice terrorist playing Counter-strike. We need help badly...

Do you think any of us would be here if we knew the cure to the problem? I'm afraid this disease has no cure...

There's nothing you can do about it, so push away that regret and accept your fate. From now on you will be forced to have fun... roptear:

Easy solution, you give me £500, I send round "Big Ron" and the boys with sledgehammers.

*blows dust off a dusty old tome and opens the heavy book, releasing even more dust*

Ah. Here it is...

*puts the book away*

Look into my eyes, Staralfur!

Give... ...the box... ...to me!
Give... ...the box... ...to me!
Give... ...the box... ...to me!
Give... ...the box... ...to me!
Give the box to me!
C'mon, hand it over! You want to get rid of it, now give it to me!
Give it...

Hey, You! Bring back that box!
Don't make me come after you!

*runs off after Staralfur*

Surprising how fast an addict can run...

LOL Legolas and Mouse, shame NTL want it back in a few months time otherwise I might be willing. I think I might have to unplug it when I get to exams in January.
