I even petitioned Oakenmir
To join my closet row
Sad to say he must refuse
For in the dark he will not grow
He prefers the open meadow
Where the gentle breeze does blow

A magic lamp
The Genie long since freed
Still very useful for lighting darkness
Whenever I might feel the need
To adventure once again
Danger's call I must heed

An ancient urn
Standing against the wall
I'm still not sure what it does
'Twas not much use at all
Perhaps a planter it will make
And I will move it to the hall

A treasury key of the Stout King
Pilfered from his pack
Stolen when he wasn't looking
For thievery I have a knack
He must not know I have it
Surely he would want it back

Thanks Mammaw. I have the occasional fit of creativity. I will have to take a look at that thread and see what I can come up with.

Serath

Typo on the handle. How embarrassing is that?

I too have a pet squix
I keep him beside my bed
Unlike Wyv's, mine's quite nice
As long as I keep him fed

The worgur is another story
He has nasty tooth and claw
And he will eat most anything
He can fit within his maw

I still have the Tusk of Lust
It's purpose, I'm afraid, I may
not reveal, it's a family orientated board
And therefore I cannot say

A moat pirahna in my closet
I stuffed him in my sack
Alas he's under the size limit
I'll have to throw him back

Many a serpent coin
Lay stacked upon their side
I got quite a deal you see
For they are made of chocolate inside

I will give it a try. It has taken me this long to put my ideas into a poem.

In my little closet
There are too many things to tell
Some things I cannot bear to part with
And some things I just cannot sell.

Two amulets of life
Lie dead upon the floor
A trident and a Witch's Stick
Are propped against the door.

A Ring of Neptune in on a shelf
It gave me Iron Lung
A Lute of Quietude is here
To which bard's tales are sung.

Silver Rings and Amulets
Increase my armor class
Bracelets blessed up to the max
And trinkets made of brass.

Several suits of Dragon Plate
Are hanging on the wall
Along with several chain mail suits
I cannot wear them all.

And in my closet is a robe
That's just a bit threadbare
A momento from a Monk-to-be
Who hasn't a thing to wear.

Special weapons fill a case
Used to kill, destroy and maim
I fondly remember each one's past
and most of them have a name.

Bloodslinger, a Wizards blade
A Murkato Blade or two
Mace of Mangling, Staff of Death
just to name a few.

Lance of the Lady and Talon's Fang
Are kept safe inside
With Dragons Tongue and Bloodbeard' Blade
That I got when Bloodbeard died.

Orion's Hammer, Kraokendon
The Axe of Runes and Stones
Nightblade and the Sword of Hearts
have called my case their home.

Keys of every description
opened doors of every size
Gemstones, jewells and cranks
needed to win the prize

Alas my key are locked in a chest
useless now no doubt
My lockpicks are locked up in there too
I cannot get them out.

"A Ratpie for my Brother"
That is what Bilbump said
But the pie has moved a good four feet
Are you SURE that rat is dead?

Yes, the closet has so many things
Too many for me to tell
Most I cannot bear to part with
and a few I cannot sell.

BRAVO Knarfling!
Excellent!

Moni

All I have is the bauble stick
with which my cats do play
I dropped it once but it stayed there
to pick up another day.

In this closet of mine
I've got many things
Some of which were nasty
But some of them like the Rat pie
Turned out to be quite tasty!

I've got the sword I used to slay
That bad old Scabban guy
I've also got a flamestrike scroll
Like the one I used to fry a troll

My spellbook lies in there now
Filled with spells of power
Flamedrop, Bless and Heal
And many, many others!

I've slain a Boogre in a cave
I've got his axe here now
It still looks like a jawbone
But when its in my hands
It'll go wham, whoosh and pow!

Just some amateurish poetry, my first try.
