OK, because I need attention (and since it is such a great demand these days), I am making a very rare poll. I don't think many of you out there have heard of Myth 2 or Myth by Bungie, but it is an excellent game. Tons of blood and gore, a lot more death animation put into it. The game is very hard, and quite annoying, so I wouldn't recommend it to most people, but if you have played it continue this thread.

What would it be like mixing Myth 2 with W&W?

I feel, you would be wetting yourself a lot. Myth 2 in 1st person view, can scare the s*** out you. Putting Myth 2 in 1st person view, would not only make it a classic horror, but it would put this game in ::No Way to Finish:: catagory. This game is hard enough with the overhead view. Plus, the overhead view does give you the advantage of seeing where the enemies are, so putting it in 1st would make you totally "blind".

Well, I may not get any posts. Well maybe a few, saying how dumb this is, but you can call me the extra toe you never thought you had. Err, wait that doesn't sound right. Well, just another dumb idiot wasting space in a forum. If my comments did ACTuALLY interest you, don't hesitate, go ahead and contine the thread. (Ooh, that last part rhymed)

Interesting idea for a thread!
I have heard of Myth and may actually have a copy of it floating around somewhere here but I don't recall having played it. (we purchase games for 3 different type of players in this household and it may not have been one meant for me in which case it will has disappeared into the neverland).

Ah, myth 2 What is a Dwarf? He's a Dwarf! What does he fight with? He fight's with a pack on his back and a row of bottles around his belt. Why? Because the bottles are grenades and the pack has three sacks of gunpowder in it Right, first of all Myth (TFL, not Myth 2) was better for only one reason ( apart from the fact that the last levels (get the head etc) where too hard, okay they where actually almost impossable).Myth 2 had better graphics and a better command system, the only difference being that the soldiers would get into formation then head over to where you told them to (in myth one they went there then got into formation but all of the complex command where there). The thing that made Myth 2 unplayable was the screen. It scrolled slower than in Myth 1, in fact so slowly that you couldn't give commands quickly enough and just got swamped by monsters and enemies because you're fellows where standing around with their thumbs up their rear ends doing not very much.It was that reason that made Myth 2 unplayable whereas Myth was commandable, but had the manouverability problems I mentioned. The best level in the original gave you just one Dwarf with a special mission- to get through a Goll infested area (Golls- Goblin like ape monsters that threw things and used scimitars, very fast),through a gateway (surrounded by javelin throwing undead)and then throw a special smoke grenade. At this signal about 12 more Dwarfs Parachuted(!) in and started to lob grenades at everything (then the mission objectives chaged to kill everything east of the gates). This was only made possable by the fact that the Dwarf in question had chugged a potion of invisibility firstThe monsters couldn't see him but they could hear him (the trick was to stand still whenever they approached and hope that they didn't bump into him). This was pretty damn close to single character multi player experience (it was hard) and might have inspired you're original question.Myth 2 would have been better if I had been able to issue commands at the same speed as in Myth 1 but it was just about playable

Oh and Myth 1 also had that wonderful two level linked story, rescue a special character (wizard type) using five heroes (normal units with virtually no bonusses) and doing it without a single one dying because you needed all five (two Berserkers,a Dwarf and a Archer or two)for the next level- being chased through the desert (they where allowed to die on this one). The monster density was huge and it was obvious where to lay gunpowder sacks (I think the Dwarf had 12 instead of the usual 3, either that or I used them really well).Just thought I'd mention it.
