Overall, we have a good board here at BG:TotSC.

The one thing that annoys me, is when people post spoilers when they are un-needed.

This came to a head where I read a thread, and Me and Lemernis(I believe) decided not to spoil to protect enjoyment.

Then, someone came along and blew it wide apart. This isn't needed. It's as if people are posting to "SHOW" they know about the game and they deserve to be respected, when everyone is respected here, whether 6000 posts, or 1.

So lets try not to spoil, unless it is asked for.

Thanx alot,

Trying not to gripe,

*L*

Good let´s keep it in mind. Sometimes you can "smell" a spoiler coming up though.

I think a good deal of the spoiler problem is that people are too lazy to read the whole thread, or even the entire first post, before jumping in with an "I know! I know!" I remember one thread, about 2 weeks ago, where a BG2 player wanted to find some good axes, throwing axes in particular. He wanted to know how long he was going to have to wait before he found some, what types of enchantments they might have, etc, but he stated that he did NOT want to know where he should go to get these said axes. A couple of people posted helpful replies, and then some bozo went and gave him exact directions to the guys with Hangard's Axe of Hurling. That was just plain stupid.

Please, if you want to help people with their game, at least have the courtesy to read everything--and understand it--before you post something they might not want to read.

Maybe the good folks of Ironworks would as be so kind as to give the code number for a ghost text piece.

So that there isn't

.
.
.
.
In your screen, yet people who don't wish to read it, don't read it.

If you all catch my drift.

I am hidden, we may proceed

you could aquire that using HTML as I did above (highlight it!)
just use #44341D as font-color
that means start with <font color="#44341D"> and finish with </font>

<font color="#44341D"> All the world is blind to my passing </font>
would thus read as
All the world is blind to my passing

P.S.: I just noticed, that the bgcolors of each post differ. Therefore you have to try if your color is
"#44341D" (the lighter)
or
"#3D2F1B" (the darker)

I have used the hidden txt before, but the problem is then, some people miss it completely.

The best solution is that people read the thread, and not do what SOS illustrated. They should be sensible!

Yes, this is what we do at PBG, i.e., highlight to reveal the spoiler with text that is the same color as the background. Glad to see there is a way to do it here too. How to do it should be explained in an easy to understand form and posted in the FAQ.
