Ramon. Thanks for that concern. For the big 30, I am not actually home with family, but in Singapore.

Yes it doesn pose interesting mental meanderings.

However, there are positives to it, which actually make this more special.

1. I have the five bedroom, three storey Lecturer's house all to myself!!!!

2. It's hot enough to have a swim! (Neither NYC nor Sydney are at the mo)

3. I am surrounded by loving, generous Singaporeans (students colleagues, friends) who give me such joy. Got a dream cake last night from them.

4. First Birthday Overseas. Travel has long been a dream of mine, and this year has been mind-blowing in so many ways. Kind of sums up the year for me. Alone, but having incredible new experiences.

5. The food in Singapore is FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!

6. It's like having a birthday week.
