Stuck on the Neverwinter Woods Quest (quest spoilers in post) - Page 2

The only thing I can think of, and this is really grasping at straws: Do you play with your map open? I didn't when I first started the game, and I think I probably missed more than a few spots. It's much easier to play when you can look at the map and see where you've been and where you're going. Turn on your map and explore every inch of the spirit world. If you've already done that, I'm afraid I just don't know. If I recall correctly, the deer was located somewhere near the center of the map. I think he's the only deer in the spirit world. You have to pass the dwarf to find him. I think you also pass the portal you return by, too. If you're already using your map, and you still can't find the deer in the spirit world, I kind of wonder if it's a bug. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Thanks Tiela. I've been using my maps and have combed the spirit world a dozen times...sigh...might be a bug...I'll try again, just to be sure.

I think its a bug, remember Velkyn, when we played with Demus? We were searching for that deer for ages. How'd we fix that? (reload??!)

the deer everytime in mine is sat right next to the circle of trees area with the stone tablets and will rush to attack you from there, first time round i fought it and just as it was about to talk my henchman hacked it up (gee thanks daelan) on the reload i managed to stop fighting it to talk and give it the antidote, either way you complete the quest, obviously saving it is preferable plus you get more exp for saving it. I dont think its a roaming creature or randomly generated, same spot each time.

No, we lost either the potion or the journal of that dwarf..

And after that Demus 'accidently' killed the deer...
As I recall, we got it back from the pool in the temple, after reloading..

I took my pc away for a while and when I came back the deer was there! Phew!
