Is it just me or is it that u get a lousy "to hit" when using 2 weapons? Coz I tried using 2 weapons for my thieve and bard and the to hit is like 1 out of 20.

minsc is really good with two weapon style. check your profiency if you have at least two in that category. Ifyou have a thief, try to gieve him/her a dagger, its better to kill silently.... its painnffffffffull!!!!

To be efficient, you need the maximum of 3* in Two Weapon Style. Any less, and your THACO will be extremely horrible.

Incidentally, there is one kit in each Thief and Bard class that specialises in dualwielding. The Swashbuckler and Blade respectively.

It's also good for rangers as they start with two proficiencies, you can add the third which leaves a -2 penalty to THAC0 with the off-hand and rangers get a cloak that removes that penalty.

two handed fighting if you put points in it is a good style to invest; if you have two good weapons and a grandmastery in both (fighters, barabarians) you can be attacking up to five times per round. Not too shabby, hmm?

In online battles with my friends, I find my ranger at lvl 31 beats their paladins using carsomyr (also at lvl 31) 9/10 times.

Maybe it's because you're a better player?

my kensai with two long swords is very powerful! 3 slots in two weapon style and 4 in long sword

alot of the time he gets two hits in one attack because of the two swords!

the first character i soloed with was a swashbuckler as he was pretty awesome. I always used the two weapon style and he just mauled everything

I prefer toting a shield around, myself, but Dual-Wielding does make a lot of sense on a lot of occasions:
* Fighting folks that don't attack physically (Mages)
* Fighting folks with such a pitiful THAC0 that they'll never hit you anyway (Goblins)
* Fighting folks with such a powerful THAC0 that they'll hit you through twelve feet of armor plate (Abazigal)
* On your secondary attacker (most likely a Kensai), who hides behind your Tanks and then runs out to hack some bad guys, praying nobody shoots at him.

I find that 2-Handed weapons are overrated--I'd rather benefit from 2 sets of enchantments on 2 1-Handed weapons. On the other hand, you can switch back & forth between a Bow and a Halberd without messing around in the Inventory screen.
