After a successful test on the erg (rowing machine) I was invited to try out for the national lightweight coxless fours, for rowers under 23 years of age. Today were the tryouts and I made it!! If all goes well (i.e. if we row hard enough next saturday -- a week and a half from now) then we will have earned ourselves a ticket to the World Rowing Championships Under 23 (which, alas, is only in Belgium and not somewhere exotic... )
Yayy!!! I'm really happy now! [ 07-24-2006, 03:12 AM: Message edited by: Link ]

Hey, congratulations Link!
BTW, what is "coxless fours"? Four guys without cox? (Sorry, I couldn't help it. ) [ 06-15-2006, 06:19 PM: Message edited by: Stratos ]

Congrats, Link! Go hit it up!
And Stratos, I assume it means four rowers without a coxswain... but I could be really, really wrong...

Nicely done. And once you get there, you can start aiming for the 23+ groups. A few years of practice should see you among them.
