Switched to Opera. Haven't had any timeout thingies happening, yet. (it hasn't happened at all today though, and I was on here for quite some time before downloading Opera)

Anyone had timeouts the last few days? Haven't had any since I switched to Opera (thursday), and it used to time out quite frequently (after 10-20 mins) before that. Me is a quite happy being now

I have messed with some DNS Settings, so let me know if you get any time outs today. (from the time of this post and onward).

Thanks!

Now that I see non IE users not having any issues, I think it's somehow an IE issue... But I don't know for SURE.

IE users-- try installing Opera or some other browser, and then connect to the internet. Reboot before, and don't even OPEN IE. Connect to the internet, and then surf IW for a long time.. See, if you use IE and it times out, and you close it out, then open another browser without rebooting, IE still has changed your internet settings for that session. So do the above, and let me know if you have any issues.. I have a feeling this may help, or even correct the problem somewhat.
No I've already said in this thread that I used netscape too and it actually tells me that the forums timed out. Choose a time that the forums are generally not busy and I'll show you a time-out in about 5 minutes (from looking at the logs you might be able to see an average low-traffic time). If it actually is some bandwidth issue like you said then as the member numbers grow more people will hit the forums, taking up all the bandwidth. The solution is simply to get more bandwidth but financially that is a burden. I'd imagine if this is the case then the forums will have this problem forever and it will get progressively worse.

Since many people are having NO time outs at all, it's not Bandwidth as I first thought.. I'll still playing with settings, there are loads left to try.

Meh, it ain't GRIM but it is certainly annoying man, when you're timing out everytime you make a post or after every 3rd post you read. That said, I am never really on here for more than 5 minutes anymore partly because of the bug so I amn't really affected by it.

If I sound grim It's probably just a sense of resignation. After almost half a year of it, it don't look like it will fix and I am almost jaded talking about it is all. No worries.

I just noticed something. I am on here just as much as I always am, and at the same times of day for the same amount of time...yet for the past two weeks I have not been booted out!

What has changed?
